Hickings Lane Bowling Club's web presence.Welcome. This is the web presence for the Hickings Lane Bowling Club based in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire. BackgroundFounded in 1927, we are a small club who play men's outdoor lawn bowls under the English Bowling Association's code, with a proud tradition of competitive bowling and of being part of the nascent careers of a number of the region's finest bowlers. CompetitionsThe club has teams which compete in the Nottinghamshire E.B.A. leagues, in their Tuesday 3 rink league and Saturday 3 rink league. Despite our modest size, we have had club members representing the Nottinghamshire E.B.A. at the national championships at Worthing on two occasions.

Undoubtably, our most prolific player is Ian Farmer, who is a regular skip in the Nottinghamshire E.B.A.'s The Middleton Cup is the premier inter-county competition competed for by all counties affiliated to the English Bowls Association Middleton Cup team, and who has represented the county on over 180 occasions. Beeston Bowling Association and has had club representatives consistently win their competitions over the years (Ian Farmer, for instance, has won their Singles competition on 6 occasions, often beating other Hickings Lane players in the finals).
